Data you enter into tools
Most tools on this site process data entirely inside your web browser. Text, code, images, passwords and files you use with these tools are not uploaded to our servers. A small number of tools contact third-party services as part of how they work:
- DNS Lookup and SPF / DMARC Checker send the domain name you enter to Google Public DNS (dns.google) and Cloudflare (cloudflare-dns.com) to retrieve public DNS records.
- Font Pairing Playground, Logo Maker and all pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
- QR Code Studio loads a code library from cdnjs (Cloudflare).
- Responsive Tester loads the website you enter directly in your browser.
- WHOIS Lookup sends the domain you enter to our server, which asks the domain's public registry (RDAP or WHOIS) for its registration record. We don't store the domains you look up.
- Mixed Content Checker sends the page address you enter to our server, which downloads that page and its stylesheets to scan them. We don't store the addresses or the pages.
- SSL Certificate Checker sends the domain you enter to our server, which connects to that site to read its certificate. We don't store the domains you check.
Local storage
We store your pinned tools, recently used tools and cookie choice in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which tools and guides are useful, and where visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies unless they choose "Accept all". Anyone can turn analytics and advertising cookies off by choosing "Essential only" in our cookie banner (reopen it with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer), or opt out of Google Analytics on every site with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we collect very little, most requests can be met by clearing your browser storage. For anything else, contact us.
